About

“Food as a Second Language” is about the ability to find common ground with anyone on the Planet. When I made the Jump from a solid career in Spirits and Hospitality, to a $9/hr Kitchen apprenticeship in a Fiery Caribbean Kitchen, I found my calling. It wasn’t spending my days in a kitchen necessarily, or even the rumors about Chefs and the ladies. It was the communication I found with so many people I normally would not have approached, or been approached by. These posts are meant to make you hungry, feel creative, and act on your desire to eat where you’re not supposed to.
